The first in Moldova International specialized fair of winter tour packages WINTER TRAVEL FAIR was opened today at the International Exhibition Center Moldexpo.
During the opening ceremony, Victor Ciobanu, head of the Tourism and Marketing Development Agency under the Tourism Agency of the Republic of Moldova, noted that "along with popular foreign destinations for winter recreation, the number of domestic tourism offers in Moldova has also increased." Winter holidays packages in Moldova are also presented at the Fair, and Mr. Ciobanu called on visitors to carefully study the opportunities for domestic tourism. According to him, in recent years, tourism offers in Moldova have become more interesting and diversified. "I am confident that visitors to the Fair will find here suitable directions and proposals from participating companies," concluded Victor Ciobanu.
Continuing the theme of domestic tourism, Gabriel Margineanu, chairman of the Employers’ Association for the Tourism Industry of the Republic of Moldova (APIT), informed the audience that the most detailed information on tourist destinations in the Republic of Moldova were available at the stand of the Association for exhibitors and visitors of the Fair, especially from Romania and Ukraine. "We welcome the initiative of Moldexpo to hold WINTER TRAVEL FAIR. Besides the promotion of winter tourism, this is an excellent opportunity for the Fair participants to sell, and for visitors to purchase convenient tours to various destinations", noted Gabriel Margineanu.
At the Fair, more than 20 tour operators and travel agencies of Moldova, Bulgaria, Romania and Georgia presented the complete range of winter recreation.
The fair is open from November 3 to 5, inside the pavilion no. 3 of IEC Moldexpo (from 10.00 to 18.00).
